Newky's biometric technology adds a critical layer of protection against identity theft with its biometric and facial recognition software, ensuring that the person processing the transaction is truly the same person as on their identity document. This is a simple and familiar task for our users; all they need to do is take a 30-second video of their face. Newky uses this video to create a biometric template and compare it to the photo on their identity document. It securely allows their passage if the image matches the one on their document, and either approves their entry or requests that they take another video based on their similarity score. In essence, our technology automatically evaluates biometric data and facial features to determine if two separate images match or if there is potential for fraud.
